Diamond Jubilee Party Celebrations
Nigel and Daphne Leck, proprietors of The Merrie Lion in collaboration with The Village Hall are pleased to be hosing Fenny Compton's Diamond Jubilee Party Celebrations on Saturday 2nd June from 4pm-11pm at The Merrie Lion.
Music, Food and Family Fun - Everyone Welcome.
Fenny Compton Through the Ages
On Sunday 3rd June 10am-5pm there will be an exhibition of historical exhibits from the past 200 million years in Fenny Compton Village Hall - entrance will be free, so please put this date in your diary as the exhibition will be child friendly and yet have something for everyone. We are fortunate to have The Dassett School helping to open the exhibition at 10am with Maypole dancing and contributing art work to a 'Time Line' around the Hall. The Fire Station will also be open - not only with the fire engine on display, but the water pump from WW2 and many past and present firemen with interesting memories, uniforms and equipment.
A full range of refreshments will be available.
Beacon Bash
Join the party and celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee at the Burton Dassett Hills 4th June 2012, 6-11pm, with live music from local artists. National Beacon Lighting Ceremony & Firework Display. Food and Refreshments. BYO Alcohol.

Edinburgh Fringe Festival Show
Join the Friends of the Dassett School for a special fundraising evening for the Dassett C of E Primary School New Guided Reading Books Scheme. Come along for an evening of dinner, theatre and good company to see local comedienne and playwright Ginny Davis 'Ten Days....That Shook the Kitchen' a one-woman show described by critics as'enormously funny' and 'wry observations on family life'. It is on Saturday June 16th at Fenny Compton Village Hall. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7:30pm. £12 includes dinner and nibbles, tickets by advanced purchase only, available at the Dassett School Office and Abacus Nursery.
Fenny Compton Church Fete
The Church Fete will be held on June 30th 2pm-4pm in the lovely garden of The Lodge, Fenny Compton by kind invitation of Mr and Mrs Polk.
Just a Bite
Please join us on Monday 28th May, from 12noon to 2pm, for a light lunch in Fenny Compton Village Hall. A meal of homemade soup, roll and cheese is provided for a small charge of £3.50. Coffee, tea and homemade cakes are also available.
