Fenny Compton Footpath Group was formed in 1997 in conjunction with Warwickshire County Council and the Parish Council. We meet for 3-hour work sessions every month on a Sunday morning to maintain the parish's footpaths and bridleways.

Season's Greetings from the Footpath Group. We have had another busy year. What started as a 3-year project in 1997 seems to be never ending; there is always plenty to do. The path behind the electricity sub-station near the doctors' surgery is now finished and, also, within the village we repaired the handrail on the bridge into the field just down from the Co-op. The path into Hall Yard from The Slade is looking a lot better with an extra topping of fine rubble. Strimming kept us busy through the summer along with general repairs and upgrades, but we also did a couple of jobs in Tysoe and Ratley. After our Christmas break no doubt there will be lots more to do. We always consult landowners before we start a job and a regular complaint from them is walkers straying away from the footpaths and bridleways; please do us a favour and stay on the paths, it keeps everybody happy. If you would like to get involved, please call me on Brian Peers 770 644 or email us on fc.fpg@btinternet.com. Have a look at the Group's Facebook page where you can see what we get up to month by month.
