Neighbourhood Watch (Safer Neighbourhood Team)

Fenny Compton, Farnborough and Avon Dassett: Police report falling crime levels in all areas except Burglary Dwellings where there was a small increase. A house was recently burgled in High Street, Fenny Compton in broad daylight whilst the occupant was out. Please be observant and report any suspicious or unusual behaviour - for example people apparently "waiting" in vans or cars, or loitering for no apparent reason.

There has been a spate of Number Plate thefts in the District. Car crime is big business, and you'll be paying if your number plates get stolen - contact the Police immediately should you fall victim to number plate theft. If you don't, you could find yourself being pursued for unpaid fines, congestion charges, stolen petrol or worse.

Please be vigilant as summer heats up and remember that open doors and windows act as an invitation to the opportunist thief.

Keep doors locked. POLICE 01926 415 000 - put it in your mobile.

Reporting Speeding, Bad or Dangerous Driving:

Warwickshire Police receive around 25 calls every day from people reporting bad driving. Often the information given to police by witnesses or victims is not enough to prosecute the offender. Do you have the registration number of the vehicle(s) and the details of any independent witnesses? Are you prepared to go to court to support proceedings? If you answer "yes" to these questions you should complete the form on this page bit.do/baddriving Forms also available from your co-ordinator. If you would be interested in joining a Speedwatch team please contact watch@fcvh.org.uk or text 07850 630 401. For more information see bit.do/speedwatch

Wildlife Crime:

Any evidence of hare coursing and lamping should be reported to the police as soon as possible. For information on what to look out for and how to become a Warwickshire Wildlife Watcher see bit.do/WWildlife
