Fenny Compton Footpath Group

Fenny Compton Footpath Group was formed in 1997 in conjunction with Warwickshire County Council and the Parish Council. We meet for 3-hour work sessions every month on a Sunday morning to maintain the parish's footpaths and bridleways.

For more information see their Facebook page.

The Group received an email forwarded by the Right of Ways Team at the County Council from a member of the public who was on a canal boat holiday wrote ‘I would like to say how impressed we were with regard to the accessibility, and the sign posting of the footpaths/bridleways. Painting the tops of the posts yellow is a fantastic idea, and we wish other councils would do the same!
Many a time we have been traipsing along a footpath which is on the edge of a field to find ourselves scratched as there is no path on which to walk or lose the footpath signs completely. Thank you and keep up the good work.!' Nice to see the Group's work appreciated.
Congratulations, too, to the Group celebrating 21 years of hard work this summer.
If you would like to get involved, please call me on Brian Peers 770 644 or email us on fc.fpg@btinternet.com. Have a look at the Group's Facebook page where you can see what we get up to month by month.
