It was with the greatest sadness that Fenny Compton Parish Council learnt of the death of Her Majesty the Queen on 8th September 2022

Queen

The Queen ruled for 70 years – longer than any other monarch in British history. Throughout her extraordinary reign, Her Majesty displayed unwavering commitment to her country and to the Commonwealth. She was an inspiration and a truly remarkable head of state.

A book of remembrance is available in St Peter's and St Clare's Church if residents wish to express their condolences to the Royal Family. Alternatively an online book of condolence is available Link - https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/blog/bookofcondolence/post/3/warwickshire-book-of-condolence-her-majesty-queen-elizabeth-ii-1926-2022?fbclid=IwAR2nc0vCFGK6-2qGQbmqTCcXN3a8C3a1n4dGKbz16vL4MV6122SRyqog_9ohttp://

If residents wish to lay flowers, we suggest they are placed next to the WI garden on the village green on the High Street.

Due to the period of national mourning, the Parish Council meeting planned for Monday 19th September will be postponed. The revised date will be published in due course.
